Residential Administrator
Independent Options, an agency that has proudly provided services to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities since 1984, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Care Administrator to lead our Community Care Licensed Facilities that support individuals with behavioral needs. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Service Plans (ISPs) for individuals who have developmental and intellectual disabilities.
- Work closely with a medical and mental health professionals to ensure the individuals’ needs are met.
- Conduct regular facility visits, observations, and assessments to ensure services meet the needs of the individuals residing at the homes.
- Document progress notes, monthly summaries, and any changes in the individual’s status.
- Advocate for the individual’s rights, health, safety, and personal goals.
- Coordinate and lead in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and agency regulations related to development disability services.
- Train and provide support to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
- Create, manage, and update staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and individuals’ needs.
- Be available to the individuals residing at the homes, their families, staff, and members of the ID Team.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Education & Competency Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field (psychology, social work, special education, sociology, behavioral sciences, or related).
- Valid CCLD Administrator Certificate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (requirement set by CCLD).
- Valid California Driver’s License with personal auto insurance (meeting minimum California requirements)
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative/supervisory role.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral management and/or working with individuals with high behavioral support needs.
- Knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations, Health & Safety Code requirements, and Regional Center service standards.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office platforms.
- Schedule flexibility to meet facility and/or client needs.

What to expect if you are hired:
- Participate in a pre-employment physical, Physical Agility Test (PAT), drug screening, and receive tuberculosis (TB) clearance
- Participate in a criminal history background check through the Department of Justice and receive clearance
- Attend a paid, three-day New Hire Orientation training at our corporate office located in Corona
- Become certified in: CPR, AED, and First Aid* | CPI’s Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training*
*These training courses are paid for and provided throughout employment.
Compensation:
- $71,000 - $75,000
(The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience and qualifications.)
