EEDA is hiring full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Residential Programs. EEDA's DSP provides the people supported the opportunity to increase independent living and socialization through participation in person centered planned activities within our residential program where the people we support live.
Shift: Monday- Friday 7AM-3PM
Location: Riverhead
Hourly Rate: $20.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Day Activity support for two individuals at their residence and in the community.
- Assist in planning activities.
- Assist the people supported when needed. Including areas of self-care, independent living, and community integration.
- Transportation/driving agency vehicles.
- Attend all mandatory trainings sessions including new hire orientation, Defensive Driving, First Aid, CPR, program specific trainings, and annual trainings.
- Obtain SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) and AMAP (Approved Medication Administration Personnel).
- Complete all necessary documentation, which includes daily records; Medication Records (if AMAP); Incident Reports, Seizure Reports and Behavioral Records when needed; and any necessary correspondence.
- Correspond as needed with other program staff, family members, consultant staff (e.g., BISs, RNs, Nutritionists, etc.).
- Any additional responsibilities for the successful operation of the program.

Requirements
- Valid NYS driver's license with 1-year driving record and acceptable LENs report.
- High Diploma or equivalent preferred
