What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP - Southampton Location position at INDEPENDENT GROUP HOME LIVING PROGRAM INC?
Are you someone who loves getting out, exploring, and making every day an adventure? Our Southampton home is looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who is excited to support individuals with developmental disabilities both in the home and out in the community.
As a DSP, you’ll be more than a caregiver — you’ll be a companion, cheerleader, and guide as you help the individuals we support enjoy life to the fullest. From hiking the local trails, visiting museums, and checking out community events, to creating memorable experiences right at home, no two days are ever the same!
Hourly rate: $20/hr
Schedule: evening/weekends, part-time & full-time
What You’ll Do:

Provide support with daily living skills, personal care, and household routines.

Drive the group to fun outings and community events (a valid NYS driver’s license is required).

Encourage independence, growth, and new experiences.

Bring positivity, patience, and creativity into everyday activities.
