About the Role
As a Senior Mortgage Processor, you'll own the loan file from submission to closing — managing pipeline, coordinating with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third parties to keep everything moving. This is a per-file compensation role, so your earning potential is directly tied to your output and efficiency.
What You'll Do ✅
- Process a high-volume pipeline of Conventional, FHA, VA, and HELOC loans from start to finish
- Review and verify loan applications, income, assets, credit, and title documentation
- Order and manage appraisals, title, flood certs, and all third-party services
- Communicate proactively with borrowers and loan officers on file status and outstanding conditions
- Submit complete, well-organized loan packages to underwriting and clear conditions efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and investor guidelines throughout the process
- Prepare closing docs for escrow for notary signings
What We're Looking For 🎯
- 5 years of mortgage processing experience with a direct lender or mortgage broker
- Strong working knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and HELOC guidelines
- Proficiency in Encompass (ICE Mortgage Technology)
- Ability to manage a full pipeline independently in a remote setting
- Sharp attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a sense of urgency
- Self-motivated with excellent time management — you don't need someone looking over your shoulder
