Compensation: $120,000–$160,000 base salary, depending on experience
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Operations to provide leadership oversight across senior living and skilled nursing operations for a growing organization. This leader will be responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting strong resident outcomes, and ensuring compliance across multiple communities. The ideal candidate will bring deep skilled nursing experience, strong financial and sales acumen, and a proven ability to build, mentor, and coach high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for skilled nursing and senior living communities
- Drive census, occupancy, quality, and financial performance across assigned operations
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, with a strong focus on skilled nursing standards
- Support and mentor 7 direct reports: Executive Directors, Administrators, and department leaders to improve operational outcomes
- Partner with clinical and sales teams to support resident satisfaction, care quality, and business growth
- Monitor budgets, labor management, staffing, and operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices across communities
- Collaborate with leadership teams to achieve organizational goals and maintain a strong culture of accountability
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Lead by example with a resident-centered, team-oriented approach
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license required
- Must be licensed in Michigan
- Extensive skilled nursing experience required
- Strong financial acumen preferred
- Strong sales acumen preferred
- Proven leadership experience in operations within senior living or skilled nursing environments
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Must be located in Southeast Michigan or open to relocating to the area
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and operational performance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
