Data Solutions Architect
The Data Solutions Architect a senior technical leader within the Data Services organization, responsible for designing and governing end-to-end data solutions that enable scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise data capabilities.
This role ensures that every data solution—from ingestion through transformation, storage, governance, and consumption—adheres to architectural standards, leverages enterprise data platforms (Informatica Data Management Cloud, AWS Redshift, and S3-based lake zones), and aligns with the company’s modernization and governance strategies.
The Data Solutions Architect partners across the Data Services verticals (Integration, DataOps, Data Management, & Client Services) and collaborates with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to ensure cohesive, reusable, and well-governed data designs that accelerate delivery, improve data quality, and reduce duplication across the enterprise. Success in this role requires deep technical acumen, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into cohesive data platform solutions.

The Essential Responsibilities Performed Within This Position Include
- Define and maintain enterprise data architecture principles, frameworks, and standards across ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
- Partner with business and IT peers to translate strategic data initiatives into actionable architecture roadmaps.
- Lead solution architecture reviews for all major data projects to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy, security policies, scalability, and compliance.
- Promote metadata-driven, cloud-native, and automation-first architectural patterns.
- Architect data solutions across the full lifecycle—source ingestion, data lake medallion architecture
- Design logical and physical data models that support both analytical and operational workloads while maintaining performance and flexibility.
- Define integration and orchestration patterns leveraging IDMC, AWS native services, and CI/CD pipelines for data movement and transformation.
- Collaborate with DataOps, Governance, and Quality teams to embed observability, lineage, and testing within all solutions.
- Design for data resiliency, scalability, and cost efficiency, ensuring architectures are production-ready and supportable.
- Enforce data governance and architecture standards including naming conventions, data contracts,and catalog integration.
- Partner with Data Governance and Quality teams to define and monitor architectural KPIs (data reuse, lineage completeness, quality scores).
- Promote data contract and data product thinking, enabling reusable, governed data assets across domains.
- Participate in Gate reviews and Architecture Review Boards, ensuring design artifacts meet readiness criteria.
- Promote data-as-a-product thinking and reusable data domain ownership models.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence and analytics teams to ensure that data models are well-documented, performant, and trusted.
- Provide architectural guidance and mentoring to engineering teams during project delivery,balancing long-term design integrity with near-term delivery needs.
- Act as a key liaison between Data SVCS , Enterprise Architecture, and Application Development teams to ensure cohesive integration across the enterprise ecosystem.
- Work closely with project managers and product owners to balance design excellence with delivery velocity
- Evaluate emerging technologies and architectural trends (data mesh, event-driven design, real-time streaming, AI-assisted data quality, Iceberg/Delta formats) and assess applicability ecosystem.
- Lead proofs of concept to assess new architectural approaches or tools.
- Champion modernization of legacy ETL and reporting processes into reusable, automated, and governed data pipelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of standards, playbooks, and Confluence-based architecture documentation.
Strong understanding of Informatica IDMC (Data Integration, Quality, Catalog, Governance) and its role in an enterprise data ecosystem.
- Understanding of modern data and integration technologies (e.g., IDMC, Kafka, API Gateway, REST/GraphQL, microservices, event-driven architecture).
- Deep expertise in data architecture and design, including conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
- Advanced proficiency with AWS data services: Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch, and related components.
- Experience with CI/CD automation, DataOps, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong grasp of security, compliance, and risk management principles.
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills; capable of producing clear and actionable architectural deliverables.
- Familiarity across multiple domains: application, data, and integration architecture.
- Strategic systems thinker with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a focus on simplification and standardization.
- Demonstrated ability to drive architectural alignment across multiple teams and domains.

- 8 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or solution architecture roles.
- 4 years designing enterprise-scale cloud data solutions (AWS preferred).
- Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines across ingestion, transformation, and delivery layers.
- Demonstrated experience supporting business transformation initiatives or modernization programs.
- Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, or healthcare preferred.
- Demonstrated success working within cross-functional data teams (engineering, governance, BI, operations).
- Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect,Informatica Certification) preferred.
