Position: Slickline Operator
Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Casper, WY
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Slickline Operator to join their team!
This is an exciting direct hire opportunity with a growing, independently owned oilfield services company. The role offers the chance to step into a hands-on position with strong training support, room to grow, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Supervise slickline crews at the well site or shop
- Rig up and rig down slickline and pressure control equipment
- Prepare, inspect, and maintain tool strings and downhole equipment
- Perform slickline operations, including plugs, gauge runs, and fishing
- Monitor line tension, depth, speed, and well pressure
- Report unsafe or abnormal operating conditions immediately
- Complete inspections, job documentation, and maintenance records
- Support safe, professional operations at customer well sites
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent practical experience
- Prior slickline, wireline, or oilfield experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to complete background check and drug screen
- No felony history
- Working knowledge of slickline tools and pressure control equipment
- Ability to understand well pressure, depth, and line tension
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- CDL
- Experience supervising small crews
- Familiarity with downhole tools and mechanical well interventions
- Previous experience with rigging up and rigging down equipment
- Background in plunger lift or fishing operations
- Ability to work in extended and irregular schedules
- Experience using job safety documentation and inspection records
