Project Accountant

Position: Project Accountant

Compensation: $36 - $39/hour, depending on experience

Location: Olathe, Kansas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Project Accountant to join their team!

This is a strong contract-to-hire opportunity for a hands-on financial professional who enjoys solving problems and improving processes. You’ll support Accounting and Operations teams as they continue optimizing a recently implemented Oracle Fusion environment, with a focus on project accounting, billing, revenue, and contract-related analysis.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Analyze complex project financial data and identify root causes.
• Support project accounting, billing, and revenue management processes.
• Review contract terms for billing and revenue requirements.
• Investigate discrepancies across data, systems, and workflows.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT teams.
• Assist with process improvements and system stabilization efforts.
• Work with large data sets to perform reconciliations and exception reporting.
• Support project setup, invoicing, collections, and closeout activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5 years of project accounting, financial analysis, or ERP support experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion.
• Experience with Project Financial Management, Billing, Revenue, or Contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience interpreting complex contract terms.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort with large data sets.
• Experience identifying process issues and financial variances.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with ERP implementations or post-go-live support.
• Knowledge of project invoicing and client-specific billing.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition best practices.
• Experience supporting accounts receivable or collections.
• Background in financial controls or process redesign.
