Oracle Database Administrator

Position: Oracle Database Administrator

Compensation: $ 110000 - 140000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join their team!

This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on Oracle DBA to take ownership of a critical production environment and make a visible difference from day one. You’ll join a small, collaborative Database Services team supporting a two-node RAC cluster with Data Guard standby, where stability, performance, and thoughtful execution are top priorities. The team is looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving system health, and building a strong operational foundation for the future.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Administer production Oracle databases in a RAC and Data Guard environment
• Monitor performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager, AWR, ASH, and ADDM
• Tune SQL execution plans, indexing, and storage usage
• Manage backup, recovery, patching, and version planning
• Support storage, tablespace, and capacity planning needs
• Resolve incidents, root causes, and recurring production issues
• Review security settings, user access, and password policies
• Partner with development and infrastructure teams on changes
• Document procedures, standards, and operational runbooks

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5 years of Oracle DBA experience in production environments
• Strong Oracle 19c or comparable recent version experience
• Production experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
• Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Working knowledge of AWR, ASH, ADDM, and execution plans
• Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues independently
• Comfort working in a small team with broad ownership

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Oracle patching and upgrade planning experience
• Experience with SQL Plan Management and SQL Profiles
• Knowledge of partitioning and large table reorganization
• Connection pool administration experience
• Experience with Oracle APEX or ORDS
• Exposure to infrastructure or storage migrations
• Experience building documentation and operational runbooks
• Oracle Certified Professional certification

• Hybrid schedule expected, with three in-office days per week
• Primary focus is finding someone in Tulsa
• Alternative location consideration may be possible in the Phoenix/Tempe area

• External DBA vendor support will be involved in infrastructure migration work
