Electrical Designer

Position: Electrical Designer

Compensation: $ 28 - 33 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical Designer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented designer who enjoys supporting varied electrical projects from concept through construction documentation. You’ll work alongside engineers and project teams to develop clear, accurate deliverables that help keep projects moving forward. If you enjoy hands-on design work, collaboration, and the chance to grow your technical skills, this role offers a solid next step.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, and engineering documentation
• Assist with site evaluations, design development, and project planning
• Create schematics, power systems, lighting, and control designs
• Develop CAD drawings from sketches, notes, and redlines
• Support design calculations and drawing production tasks
• Follow project standards, codes, and drafting procedures
• Organize project files, revisions, and related documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and designers
• Review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and schedule alignment

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or related field with 2 years experience
• Associate’s degree with 3 years related experience
• Or 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel
• Ability to create 2D and 3D engineering drawings
• Basic understanding of electrical design principles and calculations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with station material procurement processes
• Background in post-design construction support
• Exposure to quality control processes on engineering projects
• Experience interfacing directly with clients during projects
• Ability to learn new design software quickly
