EHS Manager

Title: EHS Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Cabot, VT
Type: Direct Hire/ Full Time

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety programs for a high-volume food manufacturing campus, with a primary focus on cheese cutting and packaging operations.

Responsibilities:
Lead and improve site-wide EHS programs, safety initiatives, and employee engagement.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state/federal regulations.
Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, audits, and incident/near-miss investigations.
Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous safety improvement.
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, contractors, and employees to identify and control hazards.
Manage EHS training, documentation, permits, regulatory reporting, and safety metrics.
Support emergency response, workers’ compensation, ergonomics, environmental, and sustainability programs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, with demonstrated program ownership.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state requirements.
Experience with incident investigation, hazard assessment, corrective actions, audits, and safety management systems.
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems.
Ability to work onsite in Cabot, Vermont.
