🛠️ System Engineer | Building Automation & Controls
We’re seeking a System Engineer with hands-on experience in building automation and control systems to design, implement, and support advanced automation solutions for commercial and industrial facilities. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working across controls, data, and software layers to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.
⚙️ Technical Responsibilities
- Design and implement building automation systems (BAS) and electrical control architectures
- Develop control strategies and system sequences for PLC, DCS, and DDC platforms
- Integrate field devices, sensors, and facility equipment into centralized control systems
- Architect and deploy custom automation solutions using control logic, databases, and UI frameworks
- Configure and maintain SCADA/BAS interfaces, dashboards, and operator graphics
- Develop and optimize system programs in accordance with internal and client technical standards
- Provide real-time data acquisition, trending, and analytics for facility performance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across controls, IT, and operations
- Support system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting in the field
- Progress into technical leadership or project engineering roles
🧠 Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems, or a related technical discipline
- 2–4 years of experience in automation, controls, or building systems engineering
- Hands-on experience with PLC, DCS, and/or DDC systems
- Understanding of industrial networking protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, etc.) preferred
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, historians, and data modeling
- Familiarity with web technologies and modern UI frameworks for system visualization
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, energy systems, or building/facility management systems a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and system design skills

- Base Salary: $85,000–$100,000 (DOE)
