We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong GitLab expertise to support and enhance enterprise platforms. This role will focus primarily on GitLab while also maintaining Jira and Confluence. The ideal candidate will proactively drive improvements, implement automation, and advocate for broader adoption of GitLab across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and optimize GitLab, Jira, and Confluence, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
- Develop and maintain automation for build, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines in GitLab with integrated security and compliance.
- Manage infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux server administration.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend platform enhancements to improve efficiency and user adoption.
- Act as a GitLab ambassador, demonstrating value and encouraging platform adoption across stakeholders.
- Provide technical consultation on upgrades, features, and integrations to strengthen platform capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with federal security requirements (e.g., NIST 800-53).
- Active Secret Clearance
- Strong, hands-on GitLab administration and CI/CD experience
- 3 years with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.)
- Skilled in Bash/Shell and Python for automation
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s, EKS, Helm)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical value
- Prior federal government experience
- 5 years supporting enterprise applications or platforms
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience migrating applications from on-premises to cloud environments
- Proven track record of improving or optimizing platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or Ansible
Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
