Founding Account Executive
Location: New York City, hybrid/in-office
Compensation: $125,000 to $150,000 base salary (OTE: $250,000 to $300,000) equity
We’re partnering with an early-stage AI healthcare company building technology that is transforming how healthcare operators manage workflow, decision-making, and operational efficiency at scale. Backed by experienced operators and investors, the business is entering a high-growth phase and looking to hire its first Account Executive to help define and scale the commercial function from the ground up.
This is a true founding GTM hire. You’ll work directly with senior leadership to shape the sales motion, refine the go-to-market strategy, and build pipeline across mid-market and enterprise healthcare customers. The role is suited to someone who thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys building from scratch, and is comfortable operating with autonomy and pace.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle end-to-end, from outbound prospecting and discovery through to demos, negotiation, and close.
- Build and manage pipeline targeting PE-backed healthcare groups and large healthcare organisations.
- Lead high-impact discovery conversations with senior stakeholders, identifying operational pain points and aligning platform capabilities to business outcomes.
- Drive outbound sales activity and develop strategic prospecting approaches across target accounts.
- Partner closely with leadership to iterate on messaging, positioning, and sales playbooks.
- Help define the foundations of the commercial function as the company scales.
- Close complex six-figure deals across varying sales cycles.
What They’re Looking For
- 4 to 5 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 2 years in a full-cycle closing role.
- Proven experience closing six-figure ACVs ($100k ).
- Background working in early-stage startups, ideally from seed to Series C.
- Strong outbound prospecting capability and pipeline generation experience.
- Builder mentality with a willingness to iterate, experiment, and help shape the sales function.
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with high ownership.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with executive buyers.
Ideal Background
- Founding AE or early commercial hire experience.
- Experience selling into healthcare providers, healthcare operators, or PE-backed healthcare groups.
- Track record of exceeding quota in high-growth startup environments.
- Experience working closely with founders and GTM leadership teams.
Working Style
- Based in New York City or willing to relocate.
- Comfortable working in-office five days per week as part of a highly collaborative team environment.
