The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

- Previous leadership experience in a high-volume food manufacturing or processing environment is required
- Pay is up to $100,000 annually based on experience level
- 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities are available as the company expands to 24/7 operations
- Directly supervise Mixing and Packaging Leads and a team of approximately 20 production employees per line
- Rapidly growing organization that is doubling its footprint and investing heavily in infrastructure and automation

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
- Direct all daily activities for specialized production lines, ensuring high-quality products are manufactured to strict customer specifications and timelines
- Lead and verify the training of all front-line employees, including Mixing and Packaging Leads, to ensure a high-performing and cross-trained team
- Serve as the primary authority for shift safety and quality, enforcing GMP compliance and conducting daily safety talks to eliminate operational risk
- Oversee critical food safety documentation, verifying that all production, quality, and CCP paperwork is accurate and complete prior to sign-off
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance and Production Management to report downtime, coordinate repairs, and assign work activities during production cycles
- Maintain the authority to stop production processes for any safety or quality reasons, ensuring the organization’s "Zero Defects" standards are upheld
- 2 years of professional leadership experience in a food manufacturing or high-speed industrial environment
- A general understanding of industrial mixing and packaging processes, with a commitment to maintaining a sanitary production environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP, CCP, and SQF (prior experience with high-level quality audits is a plus)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to calculate and record technical data accurately and professionally
- A "floor-first" leadership style with the physical capability to stand, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs in an active manufacturing setting
- A stable work history with an eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges within a rapidly scaling organization
- A residence within 45 minutes of the Madison, WI area
