Position Summary
The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for preparing, serving, and managing daily meal services while ensuring compliance with all health, sanitation, and food program regulations. This position includes maintaining kitchen cleanliness, monitoring food safety procedures, completing required documentation, and supporting a positive dining experience for students.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient food service operation.
What You’ll Do
Meal Preparation & Service
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to approved meal guidelines and schedules.
- Ensure meals are served in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
- Maintain appropriate food portions and meal counts.
- Assist with menu preparation and food organization as needed.
Food Safety & Sanitation
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.
- Properly store food, supplies, and equipment according to safety standards.
- Monitor food temperatures and maintain accurate food safety logs.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
Compliance & Documentation
- Complete all required CACFP meal count forms and food program documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with food and supply ordering.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and state regulations regarding food service operations.
Teamwork & Student Support
- Interact positively and respectfully with students, staff, and families.
- Support a welcoming and Christ-centered environment during meal service.
- Work collaboratively with school leadership and staff to support daily school operations.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous food service, cafeteria, or kitchen experience preferred
- ServeSafe Certification Required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer and record-keeping skills preferred
- Must pass background screening and health requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, reach, walk, and move throughout the kitchen and school environment regularly
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and handle food supplies
