The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, safety compliance, cost control, and meeting production targets.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of manufacturing, ensuring production goals are met or exceeded.
- Coordinate with planning, quality, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and inventory control.
- Develop and implement production schedules, staffing plans, and capacity planning strategies.
- Orchestrate smooth and efficient transition of workflow from 1st to 2nd shifts
- Lead and coach a team of team leaders, and production staff.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, downtime, and labor efficiency; identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
- Oversee equipment maintenance planning in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Manufacturing to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Provide input on production budgets, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees and department managers.
- Actively support and contribute to IMI's company culture, fostering teamwork, mutual respect, and accountability.
- Maintain a positive and solutions-focused attitude, especially during times of change or challenge.
- Demonstrate ownership of tasks and take initiative to resolve problems and improve efficiency.
- Be open to coaching and take an active role in personal and professional development
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations and/or supervising roles
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and people skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional integrity.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hand-on management role.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
