In this role, you will:
- Manage procurement activities across 5–6 active core projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
- Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and project specifications to determine material and service requirements.
- Source and purchase materials including conveyor components, mechanical assemblies, structural steel, motors, drives, bearings, belts, rollers, controls, and fabricated parts.
- Issue and manage purchase orders and subcontracts for core project scopes.
- Analyze supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to meet project goals.
- Coordinate freight and logistics for core projects, working with 3PL partners to ensure on-time delivery.
- Track orders, expedite critical materials, and proactively mitigate supply chain risks.
- Monitor and track project budgets, supporting cost control and budget comparisons.
- Manage onsite rentals and ensure proper utilization and off-renting of equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve supply or scope changes.
- Maintain accurate procurement records within ERP/MRP systems.
- Support supplier performance tracking and ongoing relationship development
- You're highly organized and able to manage multiple projects without losing attention to detail.
- You can prioritize effectively and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- You're a strong communicator who can build relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
- You're comfortable negotiating and having direct, solution-oriented conversations with suppliers.
- You have a proactive mindset and take initiative to solve problems before they impact the project. You're comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- You have experience or interest in material handling, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry
