Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support new product development and supplier quality initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring suppliers meet quality, technical, and production requirements while driving successful product launches. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, supplier quality management, and manufacturing quality processes. Strong PPAP experience is a key requirement and will be highly prioritized.
Key Responsibilities
- Support supplier selection, qualification, and capability assessments through audits, RFQs, and supplier scorecards.
- Define and communicate supplier quality requirements, including control plans, inspection criteria, and testing protocols.
- Plan and manage supplier validation activities, including pilot builds, capability studies, MSA, and functional/performance testing.
- Lead the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submission and approval process by reviewing documentation, resolving non-conformances, and obtaining final approvals.
- Investigate supplier quality issues using root cause analysis (8D, Corrective Actions) and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Program Management, and Operations to ensure production readiness and successful product launches.
- Maintain quality documentation and proactively identify and escalate project risks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Quality Engineering within automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, supply chain, or related industries.

- PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) – Required
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

- FMEA
- MSA
- Root Cause Analysis (8D)
- Manufacturing Quality Systems
- Experience working with suppliers and supporting new product development initiatives.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting new product launches.
- Background in supplier audits, process capability studies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with quality documentation, validation planning, and production readiness activities.
Priority:
- Candidates with strong PPAP experience will receive the highest consideration, as this is a critical requirement identified by the Hiring Manager.
