Key Responsibilities
- Procure materials for construction projects including plumbing, piping, sheet metal, steel, tools, and consumables
- Coordinate with vendors to kit and deliver materials based on project schedules
- Expedite orders to meet tight deadlines and avoid job delays
- Track orders, deliveries, and inventory to ensure accuracy and accountability
- Compare pricing, negotiate with vendors, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Source and onboard new vendors to support operational needs
- Process equipment repair requests and coordinate with vendors/service providers
- Maintain accurate data entry and documentation within purchasing systems
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (construction industry preferred)
- Proficiency in data entry and tracking systems
- ERP/MRP system experience (preferred)
- Lean Construction knowledge (a plus)
- Strong communication and vendor management skills
