What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Success Advocate (Driver Instructor) position at IMC Companies LLC?
Position Overview: The Driver Success Advocate (DSA) will effectively manage, and support Fleet of Owner Operators and/or Company Drivers as needed, ensuring they are maximizing their productivity, adhering to safety regulations, and achieving positive outcomes. Additionally, the DSA will build and maintain a strong working relationship with each Driver by acting as a point of contact to quickly address questions and concerns, and by fostering and creating a positive driving experience.
Job Duties:
- Conduct new driver orientation classes- ELD training, (Dispatch, Samsara, fuel book, and all rail applications) explanation of pay, fuel card, gate card and terminal facilities
- Assist in recruiting qualified Owner Operators and Company Drivers
- Accept applications and interview driver applicants (pre-qualify)
- Send out (fax) VOPE’s for new driver applicants
- Communicate with Application Auditor to get driver applicants qualified
- Communicate and report applicant and new hire information to IMC
- Conduct and/or coordinate CMV road tests for new drivers
- Inspect driver’s hours of service compliance
- Responsible for DOT electronic logging (ELD) administrative requirements
- Assist with all aspects of safety compliance
- Employee first report of injury contact for the division
- Responsible for ongoing and corrective action driver instruction
- Respond to and investigate local IMC and report to Risk Mgmt. services
- Receive and process (notify drivers) IMC random drug/alcohol test notices
- Assist with Driver Safety Awards Presentations
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Ability to conduct CMV driver safety and operations instruction and training
- Good knowledge of FMCSR
- Good understanding of FMCSR part 395 – Hours of Service of Drivers
- Ability and desire to promote IMC to potential CMV drivers
- Knowledge and understanding of truck maintenance and repair
