Duties & Responsibilities -
General Education and Educational Programs
Communicate to faculty and staff about program and course updates, such as progress and inclusion on the Senate, or general education agenda, and as determined by the Directors.
Assist the Director for General Education and the Chair of the General Education Board with General Education Board administration, which may include scheduling, maintaining the agendas, participating, and recording minutes for meetings.
Assist the Director for Educational Programs with academic program workshops for campus sponsors, which may include scheduling, participating, and recording meetings.
Coordinate with the Director for General Education and provide support for all aspects of the general education recertification process from start to finish each academic year.
Assist the Associate Provost, and Directors within the online course, program, and Academic Catalog system, with program, course maintenance, and Academic Catalog maintenance, which may include pulling and compiling reports as well as maintaining spreadsheets/databases of annual data and stakeholder responses.
Coordinate with the Directors to maintain websites, guides and training materials related to General Education and Educational Programs.
Administrative and Operational Support
Oversee daily operations for the Directors, including calendar management and correspondence.
Appropriately expedite and respond to items and problem solve with professionalism and efficiency.
Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries associated with General Education, Educational Programs, or other related matters.
Assist with the administrative aspects of event, retreat, or meeting coordination on behalf of the Directors, working with Provost Events as appropriate. This work is intermittent and on an as-needed basis.
Manage and coordinate travel and purchases for the Directors and other staff as needed. This includes reconciling travel and purchasing charges in the Emburse system, completing itineraries, and ensuring necessary documentation is provided.
Perform other duties in support of the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor and Undergraduate Education office as assigned.
