Why We Exist

Many students, especially first-generation or underrepresented students, lack consistent access to trusted guidance on college applications, financial aid, scholarships, and career exploration. iLevelUP was created to bridge that gap by offering a comprehensive suite of tools and mentorship that meets students where they are — digitally, intuitively, and with clear pathways toward success.

Help iLevelUP turn program and product information into responsible insights that improve educational experiences for underserved youth and young people.

The volunteer Data Analyst will answer approved questions through careful data preparation, analysis, visualization, and explanation while protecting participant privacy.

Responsibilities

• Translate approved program or product questions into clear metrics and analysis plans
• Inspect data quality, definitions, completeness, bias, and limitations before analysis
• Clean and analyze authorized datasets using reproducible methods
• Create accessible dashboards, charts, summaries, and decision-ready findings
• Document sources, transformations, assumptions, caveats, and refresh dates
• Use aggregated, de-identified, synthetic, or minimum-necessary data whenever possible
• Avoid causal claims, sensitive segmentation, re-identification, or individualized profiling without approval
• Coordinate with program, product, data, privacy, and evaluation owners
• Never export, share, or access participant data outside authorized systems
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience with spreadsheets, SQL, Python or R, business intelligence, statistics, or program evaluation
• Strong data visualization, quality assessment, documentation, and plain-language communication
• Familiarity with privacy, bias, accessibility, and responsible analysis
• Experience with education or nonprofit data is helpful
• At least 18 years old and willing to complete screening and confidentiality requirements
  
  

This is a remote, project-based or recurring role. Expect approximately 4–8 hours per month.
