Paralegal – Litigation & Corporate Support (Hybrid)
A mid-sized, full-service law firm located in Morristown, New Jersey is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join its growing team. This hybrid role (combination of in-office and remote work) supports attorneys across business, corporate, employment law, and related litigation matters.
The Paralegal will play an integral role in the firm’s daily operations, assisting with litigation support, corporate documentation, client coordination, and administrative processes. The position reports directly to the firm’s managing partners and works closely with attorneys and the firm administrator to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality client service.
Primary Responsibilities
Litigation & Legal Support
- Prepare, edit, format, and finalize litigation pleadings for filing in federal and state courts
- Support all phases of discovery, including document review, organization, and production
- Assist with e-filing, cite-checking, and procedural compliance
- Conduct preliminary legal research and locate templates using firm resources and legal databases
- Review and organize contracts and related legal documents for attorney and client use
- Assist with business entity formation filings and related documentation
Administrative & Financial Support
- Support billing functions, including invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Maintain and update client billing records, including tracking time entries and reporting
- Assist with file management, document organization, and internal database upkeep
- Draft routine correspondence, forms, and internal firm documents
Client & Operational Support
- Serve as a point of contact for clients when attorneys are unavailable, providing status updates within scope
- Coordinate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and external vendors as needed
- Support client service delivery and ensure smooth coordination of firm processes
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of litigation paralegal experience required
- Experience in labor & employment law, corporate law, or transactional matters preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw) and court e-filing systems strongly preferred
- Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable approach to problem-solving
