Schedule: Part-Time, 2-3 days per week / approximately 20-25 hours
A well-established law firm is seeking a Part-Time Business Development Specialist to support its marketing and business development efforts across multiple practice groups. This is a great opportunity for someone with law firm or professional services BD experience who is looking for a flexible, part-time position.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of pitches, proposals, RFPs and capability statements, including research, drafting, editing and production.
- Conduct client, industry and competitor research to support business development initiatives and attorney targeting.
- Maintain and update experience databases, credential materials, attorney bios and practice descriptions.
- Assist with legal directory and ranking submissions, including research, drafting and deadline tracking.
- Maintain targeted client and prospect lists and help track engagement and potential business development opportunities.
- Prepare research, background materials and talking points for client meetings and attorney BD initiatives.
- Monitor developments across key industries, including advertising, marketing, media and entertainment.
- Utilize AI tools to support research, proposal drafting, competitive intelligence and other BD processes.
- Support the Business Development team with additional research, reporting and special projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years of business development, marketing or client development experience, ideally within a law firm.
- Strong writing, research and editing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Comfortable working directly with attorneys and senior stakeholders.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as InterAction or Salesforce is beneficial.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot for research, writing or productivity is a plus.
This is a part-time opportunity of approximately 20-25 hours per week across 2-3 days, offering the chance to work closely with an established legal business development team while maintaining a flexible schedule.
Salary : $35 - $45
