SUMMARY

At Trove Group, the Agency Growth Manager will be responsible for recruiting and developing independent health insurance producers and agencies across a defined territory, introducing them to Trove Group's full portfolio including ACA, small group, short-term medical, ancillary, and ICHRA, and driving adoption of Lucie, our industry-leading Enhanced Direct Enrollment platform. A dedicated support team handles the administrative weight so your time stays where it belongs: in the field, building the business.

This is a base plus production bonus opportunity. Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $110,000, with total earnings potential of $120,000 and above.

Current territories: Florida, Iowa, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Map your territory strategically. Identify high-potential independent producers and regional agencies, build your recruitment pipeline based on market composition and competitive landscape, and execute with precision.
  • Represent Trove Group at regional industry events, broker associations, and networking opportunities. You are the brand in your market.
  • Lead the full producer recruitment lifecycle from first conversation through contract execution, licensing facilitation, and platform onboarding.
  • Deliver hands-on training across Trove Group's full portfolio including ACA, small group, STM, dental, ICHRA, and voluntary benefits, coaching producers on sales strategies, coverage positioning, and platform fluency to accelerate production ramp.
  • Drive Lucie EDE adoption across your recruited producer base, positioning it as a competitive differentiator in their business.
  • Advise on excepted benefit status, ERISA applicability, and COB rules to ensure compliance and HSA eligibility are protected throughout the sales process.
  • Transition stabilized producer relationships to the Broker Success Specialist team, keeping your focus on new growth.
  • Partner with Support Coordinators to ensure contracting, compliance, and administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Meet and exceed quotas for net-new producers recruited and aggregate production volume from your book.
Qualifications:

TRAVEL

  • 30-50%  this is a field-first, territory-based role. The majority of work is conducted in person at producer locations, industry events, and across the assigned region.

 

REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 3 to 5 years of experience in health insurance sales, broker distribution, or field-based business development.
  • A demonstrable track record in new business development and producer or client acquisition. Hunters only.
  • Broad product fluency across individual health, small group, self-funded, short-term medical, and ancillary lines.
  • Strong consultative selling and in-person presentation skills with the ability to read a room and adjust in real time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sharp organizational instincts with the ability to manage multiple producers, priorities, and deadlines without losing detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and web-based presentation tools.
  • Current state health and life insurance producer license preferred. If not yet licensed, attainment of producer license and FFM Certification within 6 months of hire is required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred given regional market demographics.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

  • The base pay range for this role is $75,000 – $110,000 per year. Final offer amounts are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
  • Employees in this role are eligible to participate in the Agency Growth Manager production incentive bonus program. Total potential compensation varies by production — base salary and bonus opportunities can add up to $120,000/yr. with potential for more.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance, as well as 401(k) and Paid Time Off.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

  • Certificates or designations from industry organizations such as LOMA, AHIP, or AICP highly desired.
