The Industrial Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in an industrial environment. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, walls, and ceilings in industrial settings.
- Clean and sanitize equipment, machinery, and workspaces according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Dispose of waste materials in designated containers and ensure proper recycling procedures are followed.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages on equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Follow safety procedures and use protective gear, such as gloves and masks, when handling hazardous materials or operating heavy machinery.
- Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Proven experience in industrial cleaning or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to clean various surfaces and equipment.
- Extended periods of standing and walking while performing cleaning tasks.
- Use of hand tools and cleaning equipment requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
- Tolerance for exposure to cleaning chemicals and strong odors while following proper safety precautions.
