Industrial Cleaner

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  

The Industrial Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in an industrial environment. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and ensuring a safe and hygienic work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

•  Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, walls, and ceilings in industrial settings.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, machinery, and workspaces according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Dispose of waste materials in designated containers and ensure proper recycling procedures are followed.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages on equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. 
• Follow safety procedures and use protective gear, such as gloves and masks, when handling hazardous materials or operating heavy machinery.
• Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized work environment. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in industrial cleaning or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently. 
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety. 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to clean various surfaces and equipment.
• Extended periods of standing and walking while performing cleaning tasks. 
• Use of hand tools and cleaning equipment requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
• Tolerance for exposure to cleaning chemicals and strong odors while following proper safety precautions.
