Description
We are seeking a Lead Casino Game Mathematician to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative gaming experiences across slot, bingo, and lottery products. This role blends deep mathematical expertise with leadership, guiding teams in creating engaging, compliant, and high-performing games. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate implementation of complex game mechanics while maintaining rigorous quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, hands-on coding ability, and a passion for pushing game design forward.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Lead the design and implementation of mathematical models, payout structures, and prize logic for casino games, ensuring alignment with game design and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee multiple projects and deliverables, ensuring timelines are met while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and performance.
- Review and approve probabilities, simulations, par sheets, and production math outputs; ensure correctness through analysis and testing.
- Mentor and guide team members, providing technical direction, reviewing work quality, and supporting development of production math solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of math into game development, resolving complex design and implementation challenges.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by evaluating new game concepts, enhancing tools and processes, and analyzing competitor products and market trends.
Skills, Knowledge, & Expertise for the job:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in a related field required.
- 6-12 years' experience in a math role; gaming or slot experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with probability mathematics.
- Advanced knowledge of slot math design, processes, and requirements.
- Solid experience working in a collaborative environment.
- Proficient knowledge of casino style games and regulatory markets and the intent of the regulations being evaluated.
- Demonstrated advanced organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience working well with creative conflict and mentoring peers and junior mathematicians.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of people.

That’s why the compensation range for this role is $135,000 - $166,000 annually, with room to go higher or lower depending on the full picture.
