Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Direct application of MIL-STD-882E principles to assist in conducting and documenting a variety of hazard analyses, to include developing and tracking mitigation measures according to the system safety design order of precedence.
· Development of safety documentation including Safety Assessment Reports, risk assessments, and safety incident root cause analysis required to functionally support the safety of product portfolio.

Required Qualifications
· A bachelor’s degree (or Master’s) in Engineering (systems or safety) discipline and 0-3 years of relevant experience is required.
· Candidates should have basic knowledge of safety principles, regulations, and practices including experience carrying out hazard mitigation techniques as well as conducting risk analysis on weapons systems.
Desired Qualifications
· Experience with application of system safety policies within programs using agile software development, Model Based System Engineering and/or Air and Missile Defense systems is a plus
· Candidate must be experienced with Microsoft Office products.
· Experience with JIRA/Confluence or MBSE tools (Cameo/MagicDraw) a plus.
· Candidate must be able to think independently and be self-motivated, with proven organizational skills, ability to multi-task and support varied assignments. Security Clearance Requirements:
Must currently hold an active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance

Candidate must be a US citizen, and must be a resident near Huntsville, AL, or be willing to relocate.
