Our client, a growing public accounting firm, is looking for a Tax Senior Manager or Director to take ownership of client relationships, provide strategic tax guidance, and lead day-to-day tax engagements. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and mentoring staff while delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of small business and high-net-worth individual clients.
- Review and oversee preparation of complex tax returns, including individual, partnership, and corporate filings.
- Provide proactive tax planning strategies tailored to client-specific needs and long-term goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client questions, notices, and tax-related matters.
- Lead and mentor staff and seniors, including reviewing work, providing feedback, and supporting development.
- Coordinate and manage multiple engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Research complex tax issues and communicate conclusions clearly to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on client service strategies and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- CPA license required.
- 7 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on tax.
- Strong experience with pass-through entities, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical tax knowledge and research capabilities.
