Key Responsibilities
- Civil Litigation & Legal Defense
- Manage and support litigation matters including:
- Personal injury cases
- Premises liability
- Medical provider involvement
- Thirdparty discovery
- Subpoenas
- Legal objections
- Motions and protective orders
- Coordinate with outside counsel across FL, GA, and SC jurisdictions
- Prepare litigation summaries and risk exposure reports for executive leadership
- Healthcare Law & Regulatory Compliance
- Florida (AHCA, HB 837, PIP/NoFault)
- Georgia (corporate practice of medicine, discovery rules)
- South Carolina (licensure, entity compliance)
- Provider agreements
- MSO agreements
- Vendor/service contracts
- Support audits, investigations, and regulatory responses

- Interrogatories and Requests for Production

- Ensure legal defensibility and HIPAAcompliant disclosures
- Risk Mitigation & Legal Advisory
- Identify recurring litigation trends and operational risk exposure
- Documentation standards

- Operational vulnerabilities

- SOPs
- Compliance safeguards
- Provide legal training and guidance to internal teams
- Strategic & Growth Support
- New clinic launches
- Multistate expansion initiatives
- Vendor and referral partnerships
- Participate in executivelevel decisionmaking as a legal advisor
- Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Bar license in Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina
- 4 years of experience in:
- Civil litigation
- Personal injury (plaintiff or defense)
- Healthcare law or regulatory compliance
- Discoveryheavy legal environments
- Strong legal writing, drafting, and procedural expertise
- Proven ability to manage highvolume, highcomplexity caseloads
- Healthcare providers or MSOs
- Medlegal documentation and case strategy
- Corporate representative depositions (30(b)(6))
- Trial preparation and expert coordination
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks and multistate compliance
