Production Operator 1-2

Job Summary

Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: set up, operate, and shut down manufacturing machinery, including extruders or computer-controlled tools.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and keep the work area clean.
• Monitoring & Efficiency: monitor production processes to optimize performance, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.
• Reporting & Documentation: record data regarding materials used and products produced, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Safety Compliance: adhere to all safety protocols and health regulations to prevent hazards.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Ability to read shop floor papers and operate machinery.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift materials (up to 50 lbs.)
• Attention to detail
• Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to communicate, work well with a team, and report issues to supervision.
