We are seeking a Blending Line Operator to oversee the operation of our blending equipment in a food ingredient manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for accurately mixing raw materials, monitoring the blending process, and ensuring product quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and sanitation standards.
Role And Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor blending equipment to ensure proper mixing of ingredients according to formulas.
- Accurately measure and add raw materials following batch specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain consistency and quality standards.
- Conduct in-process quality checks, including temperature, texture, and weight measurements.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions to maintenance as needed.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Document production data, batch records, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper handling of ingredients and operating equipment safely.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and food processing environments.
- Assist with equipment cleaning, changeovers, and sanitation procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, including GMPs and HACCP.
- Ability to read and follow batch recipes, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in weighing and measuring ingredients.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift certification, PIT experience, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a standing position for extended periods.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, and overtime as needed.
- Current and Valid Driver’s License
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Understanding of food safety regulations (GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.) is a plus.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- 1 years of experience in food manufacturing or manufacturing environment.
