Reports to:  Production Supervisor in area assigned

Supervises:  N/A

Summary Statement:   Under the general supervision of the Department Supervisor, the employee in this position facilitates work-flow throughout the department following all established work and safety procedures.

Essential Job Functions

• Identify and stage raw materials as they arrive at the department, notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies.
• Maintain organization of raw materials to ensure efficient and correct distribution.
• Make and provide bar code labels.
• Maintain in-process inventory of all raw materials, notifying supervisor of any needs.
• Maintain an adequate supply of various raw materials per specifications.
• Facilitate workflow throughout the department by delivering appropriate raw materials to department personnel as needed.
• Assure cleanliness of the work area assuring products, boxes, trash, etc. are placed in the proper receptacles.

Marginal Job Functions

• Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
• Participate in training and meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand and walk over a 10-hour period.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Must be able to read, write, and interpret instructions.
• Must have a basic working knowledge of computers.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.

Education and Work Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• No previous experience required.
