General Job Description
IES Residential is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Residential Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team in Suwanee, GA. This is an in-office position offering an exciting opportunity to support the success of our single-family residential projects through accurate estimating, strong communication, and teamwork.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for single-family residential electrical projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work
- Collaborate with project managers, field leadership, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and budgets
- Source and review vendor pricing to develop competitive and accurate estimates
- Assist in preparing bid packages, including proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation
- Monitor labor costs, material pricing, and industry trends to ensure estimates remain current and accurate
- Maintain organized records of all estimates and supporting documentation
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools

Specific Qualifications
- Prior experience estimating residential electrical work (single-family preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and estimating software
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, printers, and phones
- Ability to review construction drawings and technical documents electronically and in print
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly and effectively
