Position Overview
As a Single-Family Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of residential electrical services in Suwanee, Georgia. This role is responsible for leading a team of electricians, coordinating projects, and ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. You will provide technical guidance, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of residential electricians to ensure high performance and productivity
- Project Management: Plan, organize, and oversee residential electrical projects from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical work meets quality standards, codes, and regulations; conduct inspections and provide feedback
- Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive customer experience
- Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting and technical expertise to resolve complex electrical issues
- Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA and company safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings
- Inventory Management: Manage materials, tools, and equipment; track usage and maintain inventory records
- Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and support training initiatives for team members
- Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and performance
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records including work orders, permits, and invoices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
- 5 years of residential electrical experience, including new construction
- 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in single-family projects
- Valid Georgia electrical license required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and residential electrical systems
- Ability to read blueprints and use electrical tools and testing equipment
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and project management skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards with a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Must pass drug screening and background check
Work Environment
- Work performed on active residential construction sites and occupied homes
- Frequent travel to job sites within the designated region
- Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain
- Work may involve heights, ladders, and confined spaces
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
