Position Summary
The Strategic Account Manager serves as a critical link between customers, engineering, and manufacturing operations within IES Infrastructure. This role is responsible for driving growth, nurturing long term partnerships and owning the customer experience for high-value strategic accounts in the power generation sector.
The Strategic Account Manager will focus on providing custom generator enclosures that optimize scope provided by IES Infrastructure companies for key OEMs and data center clients. This position combines customer relationship management, strategic account planning and technical solution selling to ensure custom generator enclosure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and are aligned with customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Interface
- Establish strong customer relationships to identify opportunities that are a good strategic fit within IES Infrastructure’s enclosure business
- Develop and execute customized long term strategic plans for revenue growth, increasing market share and profitability within assigned accounts
- Proactively assess clients technical needs to identify changing requirements and optimize IES content, including breakers, fuel tanks, plenums and aftertreatment
- Work to gather current specifications, prepare quotations and ensure alignment between customer expectations and production availability
- Support pre-sale and post-sale activities by translating customer requirements into actionable project plans
Cross Functional Project Coordination
- Engage teams across multiple facilities to communicate and align end-to-end customer delivery expectations of projects from order intake through final delivery
- Aid in defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, outlining tasks and providing a clean hand off to project management and operations
- Plan, facilitate, and participate in project meetings with assigned customers to insure alignment and provide early identification of threats to obtaining performance expectations
- Address and resolve project-related issues, including scope changes, delays, and resource constraints
Technical & Manufacturing Coordination
- Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and requirements related to power generation and custom fabricated enclosures
- Consult with engineering and operations to ensure quoted designs align with standard IES building practices, maximizing manufacturing efficiency and ensuring a high quality, repeatable solution
- Facilitate communication between departments including engineering, production, quality, and supply chain
