We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive healthcare at a correctional facility in Sacramento.
Responsibilities include delivering full-scope primary care such as episodic, chronic, dermatology, preventive, and basic orthopedic services, as well as managing emergent cases like trauma, fractures, chest pain, and overdose. The role also involves treating chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, HIV, and pulmonary illnesses, following national guidelines.
Qualifications include an unrestricted MD or DO license in California, board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, completed residency, current CEUs, and preferably correctional or urgent care experience.
Full-time or Per Diem positions are available. Compensation is $185/hour, with professional liability insurance provided at no cost. A $1,500 referral bonus applies after a referral completes 4 weeks. The role requires relocation to Sacramento and may involve 25% travel.
