This role involves overseeing the development, testing, and troubleshooting of complex software systems, particularly in support of large applications within a supportive team environment. The position offers a chance to work on critical projects that impact state applications and modernization efforts.
Position Overview for the Software Developer III:
- Oversee the coding, testing, and debugging of programs based on technical and functional requirements.
- Lead the development of flowcharts, diagrams, and manuals for production and end users.
- Coordinate research and analysis for project proposals, system modifications, and new initiatives.
- Review and optimize programs, SQL code, and database schemas to enhance system efficiency.
- Troubleshoot application issues by analyzing logs, system messages, and resource utilization.
Requirements for the Software Developer III:
- 15 years of Java experience
- 10 years of SQL database experience
- 8 years of sustaining and development experience in large applications supported by a team
- 5 years of Linux experience
- 8 years of experience with Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA
