This role is a springboard to other opportunities at Ideal Rent-All including General Manager, Assistant Managers, Drivers, Mechanics, Counter Associates, Sales, Operations, and Office roles.

What can I earn?.....

Yard - $17.13 - $30/hourly, $36k to $63k annually

Counter (inside sales representative) $17.13 to $35/hourly, $36k to $73k annually

CDL A Driver (helps with yard also) - $25 - $35/hourly, $52k to $73k annually

Equipment Mechanic (yard also) $17.13 - $38/hourly, $36k to $79k annually

Shop/Yard Supervisor (yard also) $36.00 - $40.87/hourly, $75k to $85k annually

Store Manager - salary $100k to $150k with profit sharing

What you will do...

Yard Crew Members assist customers with incoming and outgoing rental of equipment, ensure the equipment is working properly, cleaned, fuel full, sanitized, up-to-date maintenance and safe to use. Yard Crew Members are the first people customers see when coming to rent from us, so Yard Crew provides customer support, keeps the yard clean, and various other tasks to keep the rentals flowing smoothly. In Addition, Yard Drivers may be sent out to pick up or deliver equipment to other store, customers, and or repair shops. Yard employees are required to keep their driving records clean and maintain utmost safety whilst driving company vehicles off-site.

• Keeps busy and useful, looks ahead, plans ahead, clean, and orderly
• Take initiative and work autonomously.
• Greets customers as they arrive and assess customer needs to get started receiving equipment or sending out rental equipment.
• Ensures all rental equipment is in good, useable condition before it goes out to the customer.
• Oils and lubricates all tools, equipment and tilt-up braces according to specifications before they go out for delivery.
• Prepares and stages rental orders to go out for delivery.
• Inspects all rental equipment for damage when it comes back from a customer; Reports any damage according to established procedure.
• Cleans rental area and equipment on a regular basis.
• Removes dirt, concrete, or other debris from rental equipment.
• Work as a team with other yard personnel.
• Write legibly on all correspondence.
• Cleaning and maintenance of shop work area, yard.
• Clean up restroom if you find needs cleaning.
• Load and unload equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, and backhoes.
• Know specifications and application of rental inventory.
• Inspect cargo to ensure it is properly loaded and secured.
• Record service or repair activities.
• Secure/load equipment on vehicles.
• Instruct customers on equipment and safe operation.
• Start equipment for customers.
• Other related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• A high school diploma / GED.
• Required to have and maintain a Washington Driver’s license.
• General mechanical aptitude
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently.
• Able to communicate and interact in a positive and professional manner.
• Attention to accuracy and detail.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Preference for knowledge of equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• More than 2/3 of time spent standing, walking, driving, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching with hands and arms. Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry a minimum of 50lbs safely.

Work Environment:

• Most work will be performed outside.
• May be exposed to general warehouse conditions, in which some work areas may not be heated or air conditioned.
• The job requires constant interaction with customers, delivery drivers and internal staff.
• May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents. Regular exposure to factors such as temperature and weather extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes.

Fulltime Position:

4/10 work schedule, rotating week days (6:45am to 5pm) with rotating Saturdays 7:45am to 2pm. Availability to work unconventional hours which may include weekends, evenings, and public holidays in line with the business's operational needs and dynamic nature of equipment rental industry.
