Product Development and Sourcing Manager

Role Overview
The Product Development and Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing product development, sourcing, and supplier management activities across our home textile category. You'll serve as the central link between internal cross-functional teams and overseas offices, vendors, and manufacturers — driving on-time delivery, strong quality, and target cost outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in home textile product development and sourcing, with proficiency in speaking and writing Chinese required to effectively communicate with local suppliers and manufacturing partners.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for global sourcing operations, collaborating with cross-functional partners at overseas offices and vendors
Utilize negotiation and costing skills to achieve financial targets for the designated product category
Maintain and update product costs, while effectively communicating with overseas offices regarding costing options
Coordinate tasks to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality products
Monitor and expedite sample development progress
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, merchandisers, and engineers, to develop innovative and high-quality home textile products
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors based on quality, cost effectiveness, and capacity to meet production requirements
Work closely with suppliers to achieve optimal cost and quality outcomes
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Product Development and Sourcing Manager in the home textile category
Proficiency in speaking and writing Chinese to effectively communicate with local suppliers
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Experience with content, product, and inventory management
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Exceptional organizational skills, including planning, prioritizing, managing multiple tasks, and meeting corporate deadlines
Experience working with mass retailers such as Target, TJ Maxx, Costco, and Walmart

Cross-functional partners (design, merchandising, engineering) view the role as a reliable sourcing and development voice
