Position Overview

We are seeking a highly capable and forward-thinking Operations Manager to lead and optimize our multi-branch operations. This is a pivotal role reporting directly to the President, requiring strategic alignment with executive vision and the ability to translate that vision into actionable, measurable outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a central role in scaling the company toward a target of $100 million in annual revenue within the next decade; it is a strategic objective that demands operational excellence, leadership maturity, and a deep understanding of scalable systems and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operational functions, ensuring alignment with company standards and customer expectations.
  • Lead and manage labor, productivity, quality control, and safety across both project management and field operations.
  • Develop and enforce quality assurance protocols for field personnel.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Set performance goals, mentor staff, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and strategic growth.
  • Maintain full financial accountability for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)—this is a core deliverable.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning aimed at achieving $100M annual revenue through operational expansion, talent development, and market positioning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within civil construction.
  • Proven track record managing $20M in annual expenditures.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and strategic resource planning.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement scalable processes in evolving environments.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Resilient in the face of ambiguity and capable of creating structure from chaos.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, performance standards, and best practices.
  • Amiable yet assertive personality with the ability to build trust across teams and clients.
  • Experience in sales or client-facing roles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISPWC, ASTM and ITD standards.

What We Offer

  • Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization
  • 100% employer-paid health insurance
  • Flexible working hours and casual work attire
  • Safe and inclusive work environment
  • On-the-job training and development
