Idaho Forest Group, Moyie Springs is looking for a Lead Millwright to join our team! $45.14-$47.68/hour DOE!
The Lead Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all mill equipment. This position will troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs.
- Follow safety protocols and report hazards to ensure a safe work environment.
- Train, assist, and familiarize new hires with company work rules, policies, safety, and communication systems.
- Assist with the supervision of the maintenance department.
- Train and assist other technicians on equipment repairs.
- Ensure all technicians are working through the maintenance work up program.
- Install, repair, and maintenance of mechanical components.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions.
- Continually work on preventative maintenance.
- Ensure inventory of critical spare parts.
- Assist electricians in making electric repairs as needed.
- Maintain a production level work pace.
- Duties vary by location.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 years of maintenance experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and safety protocols.
- Soft Skills:
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team to achieve a common goal.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges creatively and effectively.
- Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Examples include time management, multitasking, and production targets.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
- Ability to work various shifts/days as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Formal maintenance training and/or completed apprenticeship program.
- General understanding of OSHA requirements, LOTO procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of plant equipment and operation, and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license

Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
