Position Title: Quality Assurance Inspector - (NDE/Mechanical)

Work Location: Site – INTEC

Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4x10s

Salary Grade: 10 Salary Range- Min $83,185 Mid $106,595  Max $130,000


Position Purpose:

-Work independently providing general, mechanical, and NDE Quality Control inspection support to all ICP projects ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, and customer specific requirements.

-Provide assistance to Quality Engineers during design reviews, document reviews, work order reviews, vendor data reviews, and inspection planning preparation.

-Act as an ICP representative in the field and at vendor/supplier facilities.

-Perform QA oversight and surveillances of subcontracted, construction, operations, and maintenance activities.

-Provide inspection support during overtime activities when requested.

-Responsible for identification and reporting of program and material deficiencies per ICP procedures.

-Perform QA Hold Point inspections and assistance when required or requested for material receipt inspections. 

-Perform any other duties assigned by management.


Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):

At the Idaho Environmental Coalition, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

-Must have current NDE Level II or Level III certifications or have documentation of previously held Level II or III certifications.

-Must be able to qualify as a Level II Inspector including but not limited to VT, MT, PT, etc., and General Inspector Level II in accordance with the Company QA Program and procedures. 

-Must have relevant experience in fabrication, industrial construction, weld inspections, and NDE. 

-Possess thorough knowledge and be able to navigate and interpret construction codes and standards such as ASME, AWS, ASTM, etc. 

-Must have competency level understanding of nondestructive testing methods, reading and interpreting drawings, diagrams, and other design output documents.

Education and Experience:

Applicable Associate’s degree or equivalent plus 13 years’ relevant experience.


Special Requirements/Training:

Must be able to qualify as a Level II Inspector in VT/MT/PT and General Inspector Level II in accordance with the Company QA Program and procedures. Must be able to attain confined space, Lockout/Tagout, and respirator qualifications to support project needs. Other required training includes but not limited to HAZWOPER, Rad worker 2, and facility access training. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preference will be given to candidates with current NDE certifications or CWI license. 


License(s) or Certification(s) Required:

Must have current NDE Level II or Level III certifications or have documentation of previously held Level II or III certifications.

  • U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Employment Authorization Card (I-766)
  • U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential
  • Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
