ID A is a Specialty Contractor whose business is the planning, design, and creation of our customer's corporate, health and learning spaces. We possess in-house expertise in design, prefab construction, furniture, fixtures & equipment and technical services. Our customers come to us because they want one point of contact for the design and execution of their interior projects throughout Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Tennessee.

A Level 2 Designer with a Healthcare Specialty at ID A works closely with Account Executives, Senior Designers, and the Design Director to design and specify interior environments. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the design process, client interaction, and designing for healthcare environments.
Education, Experience and Attributes:
- Minimum four years’ job experience in interior design or contract furniture design.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design/architecture.
- NCIDQ Certification (Preferred).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, or similar.
- Competent understanding of Interior Design Process.
- Competent understanding of designing for healthcare environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft including One Drive, Teams, and Outlook.
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction documents and specifications.
- Proficient in understanding building construction, including the interaction between building systems and product solutions.
- Healthcare product knowledge is preferred, but significant product training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary designer for ID A’s Lexington, KY location.
- Team designer for healthcare projects and furniture, interior design, and/or interior construction projects (as required to assist with workload distribution).
- Mentor to Level 1 Designers.
Essential Duties:
- Communicate effectively with Account Executives to accomplish customer goals, including pre-sale qualifiers like budgeting, estimator tools, and ROM pricing, etc.
- Present to and meet with clients with or without Account Executive to move projects through design process.
- Space plan and provide holistic design solutions to customers, specifically related to healthcare environments.
- Produce deliverables for each stage of design, not limited to – proposals, revisions, sign-off documents, and installation drawings.
- Participate in and perform Design Audits.
- Accurately design and specify product solutions.
- Perform site visits specifically in healthcare environments, which may require certain background checks and/or immunizations.
- Perform site verification to ensure successful product installations.
- Role includes the potential to work off-site at customers’ locations on a regular basis.
- Participate in training and learning opportunities.
- Provide constant feedback to Leadership that may improve processes, training, mentorship, etc.
- Adhere to ID A internal processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction, using problem-solving skills when needed.
- Participate in EOS program.
- Role includes the potential for additional travel as required for projects.

Level 4 Designer
The intention of a Level 4 Designers is to be an expert in product solutions, ID A processes, and providing fully integrated Furniture and Interior Design/Construction solutions to clients. A Level 4 Designer is expected to design and specify a full range of solutions to our customers, including products like shades, sound masking, acoustical products, modular walls, Interior Design services, and furniture solutions. Special product learning and program training provided as required.
