ID A is a Specialty Contractor whose business is the planning, design, and creation of our customer's corporate, health and learning spaces. We possess in-house expertise in design, prefab construction, furniture, fixtures & equipment and technical services. Our customers come to us because they want one point of contact for the design and execution of their interior projects throughout Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and Tennessee.

As a Level I Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) Designer at ID A, you will work closely with our Nashville sales team to aid internal and external stakeholders with the overall customer experience by supporting transactional and day-to-day quoting quickly and accurately. The right person for this role loves to work on a team, takes an integrator role in a team setting, organizes information, understands the importance of accuracy, and is eager to learn and grow.
Education, Experience and Attributes:
- Minimum two years’ previous job experience, preferably in interior design or contract furniture design.
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design/architecture.
- Basic understanding of drawing platforms (CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, 3ds Max, or similar).
- Proficient in Microsoft including One Drive, Teams, and Outlook.
- Sharp written skills and attention to detail.
- Proven track record for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to juggle many projects at once.
Major Functions of the Position:
- Accurately specify and price furniture solutions to satisfy transactional and day-to-day business.
- Maintain client standards documents.
- Continuously improve skills in areas not limited to: product knowledge, software, trends, processes, etc.
- Learn and adhere to ID A internal processes to ensure projects flow smoothly and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use problem-solving skills to improve relationships with internal and external customers.
Essential Duties:
- Receive client quote requests and set up in internal systems per ID A process.
- Request quotes from vendors.
- Create specifications and apply accurate discounting.
- Create client deliverables not limited to – proposals, revisions, sign-off documents, and installation drawings.
- Communicate directly with clients throughout project lifecycle.
- Present to and meet with clients with or without Account Executive to move projects through design process.
- Perform site verifications to ensure successful product installations.
- Participate in training and learning opportunities.
- Adhere to ID A internal processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction, using problem-solving skills when needed.
- Participate in EOS program.
- Role includes travel to Louisville, KY at least (4) times per year, or more as required.
- Role includes the potential for additional travel as required for projects.

Level II Designer
A Level II Designer at ID A works more autonomously than a Level I Designer, though still closely with senior designers. Level II Designers are competent in ID A processes, industry processes, and industry programs. This designer can provide full furniture solutions to clients, perform internal design audits, and mentor Level I Designers.
