Investor Relations Associate, Financial Services & Fintech
Location: NYC or Norwalk CT offices Hybrid
ICR, one of the most highly-regarded strategic communications and capital markets advisory firms, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Investor Relations Associate to join its Real Estate, Entertainment, Financials, Lodging, Services (REFLS) group. this is a foundational role where the Investor Relations Associate would primarily be working with Financials and Fintech companies.
Responsibilities of an Investor Relations Associate include:
- Provide direct support for senior members of the REFLS team.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with clients’ senior management teams.
- Create and maintain detailed financial models for our clients and peers.
- Track and report on client industry / peer developments, industry research and financial results.
- Prepare reports and analysis for client executives on various topics including but not limited to conveying investor feedback, outlining peer financial results, stock price performance, industry benchmarking projects, short interest and changes to institutional shareholder base.
- Develop and manage IR calendars and timelines for projects, investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, analyst days and other major events.
- Develop client investor marketing materials, including corporate press releases, letters to shareholders, investor presentations, prepared remarks and IR website content.
- Regular interaction with client executives on all Investor Relations matters.
- Assisting senior members of the team with business development initiatives.
- Various organizational responsibilities including preparing client meeting agendas, providing post call summaries noting follow up items, scheduling investor relations calls and assistance in organizing meetings and events.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Communications, or a related field.
- At least one year of relevant work experience or substantial internships during college.
- Ability to work in a team environment and be extremely responsive to superiors and peers.
- Keen interest in the financial services and fintech sectors.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and resourcefulness.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills, sense of urgency.
- Strong analytical and writing abilities.
- Strong desire to learn and develop an understanding of the equity & related capital markets.
- Confident and professional phone and e-mail communication.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently while meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality of work product.
- High levels of ethics, integrity and judgment.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Thomson, FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg and other capital markets databases.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
