Job Title: ICR Equipment Rental Sales & Supply - Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary:
ICR Equipment Rental Sales & Supply in Bellaire, Ohio is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and functionality of our rental equipment fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Perform repairs and component replacements to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
2. Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations while working on equipment.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure all equipment meets safety standards before rental.
3. Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for the rental fleet.
- Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records of equipment service history.
4. Rental Equipment Support:
- Assist in preparing equipment for rental, including cleaning, testing, and ensuring all accessories are in place.
- Conduct equipment inspections upon return from rentals and address any issues promptly.
5. Customer Service:
- Communicate with customers and provide technical assistance and guidance on equipment usage.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns related to equipment maintenance and operation.
6. Inventory Management:
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for equipment repairs.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
7. Training and Development:
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in heavy equipment mechanics is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, with a minimum of 5 years working on heavy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other heavy equipment components.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment parts and tools.
- Stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
