Role Summary
The Sales Representative / Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities while serving as a key liaison between sales and technical teams. This role ensures customer requirements are clearly understood, accurately translated into technical and commercial solutions, and effectively supported throughout the sales cycle. The position plays an integral role in opportunity assessment, proposal development, negotiation, and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute tender and proposal strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Conduct headquarters-level reviews of key tender and proposal components
- Determine tender and proposal disposition and manage clarification responses
- Develop opportunity assessments and engagement plans
- Identify, capture, and qualify leads as sales opportunities
- Plan and execute cross-sell and sell-up strategies
- Prioritize opportunities for engagement based on business impact
- Negotiate sales terms and conditions
- Prepare and manage sales quotations and determine quote disposition
- Prepare and manage contract documentation, including:
- Contract amendments
- Contract renewals
- Contract suspensions
- Early contract terminations
- Investigate sales- or contract-related events and validate findings
- Collect and analyze market activity intelligence
- Collect and analyze unit-level intelligence
- Collaborate closely with technical, operations, and commercial teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately addressed throughout the sales process
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, business development, or sales engineering within a technical, manufacturing, or industrial environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage proposals, tenders, and quotations
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
- Ability to assess sales opportunities and develop effective engagement strategies
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with contract lifecycle management
- Background supporting complex or solution-based sales cycles
- Familiarity with structured sales processes and opportunity management

Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
